Patio Drawing

Patio
Five minute sketch of the patio and fountain I can see from the door leading to our office.

All work and no play makes S a tired boy!

Drawing bits of S while he´s asleep.

I quite like the hand.

The face - it´s a likeness.

The apples - because S woke up and I had to choose another subject that would keep still.

Wardrobe and wonky table

Wardrobe and wonky table!

Traffic lights, kitchen cupboard, block of flats

Traffic lights, kitchen cupboard and the view of a block of flats from our balcony.

Bits and bobs

Bits and Bobs

Some everyday drawings done while I was watching the telly (during the 20 minute Spanish advert breaks) or making cabbage soup and watching the pot boil!
The picture of the African Women at a market I copied from National Geographic for a bit of practise with my coloured pencils but it needs finishing!

Practising drawing faces

Practising drawing faces
I copied her from a magazine because her face was interesting and I needed to practise.

A funny little man and a strange tree

A funny little man and a strange tree.

I drew this about two years ago. It started as a drawing of the roots of a tree in Parque Maria Luisa. The roots really looked like feet and reminded me of the kind of thing that you see in children's book illustrations. That gave me the idea of drawing the funny little man. I think I did a fairly good job of the tree although I think my little friend needs a bit more work.
This is a photo of the original pencil drawing so sorry about the slight glare. Lead pencil and flash photography don't go very well together.
